Back in January, we embarked on a journey through the construction of a custom home in the idyllic coastal enclave of Bonita Springs, led by the team at Alair Bonita Springs. Today, we revisit the job site to unveil the remarkable progress and tantalizing milestones achieved since our last visit. Under the stewardship of partners Barry and Kyle VanWye and expertly managed by Project Manager Chris GeBus, this project continues to evolve into a masterpiece of unparalleled craftsmanship and visionary design.
Architectural Brilliance and Grand Entrance
At the helm of the architectural vision is Dave Jenkins of Wright Jenkins Home Design, renowned for pushing the boundaries of contemporary design in Southwest Florida. “Our objective was to create a residence that not only commands attention but also embodies the essence of coastal luxury,” Jenkins explains. The focal point? A majestic 30-foot tall foyer, where an opulent staircase elegantly wraps around an elevator featuring a breathtaking three-story waterfall—an architectural marvel that sets the tone upon entry. Illuminated by a 6.5 ft. by 13 ft. skylight, the path to the master suite is adorned with natural light, enhancing the grandeur of every step.
Elevated Living and Outdoor Oasis
The seamless integration of indoor and outdoor living spaces amplifies the allure of this waterfront abode. With expansive water vistas, every floor has been meticulously designed to celebrate the beauty of its surroundings. The crow’s nest offers an exclusive sanctuary with panoramic views of Estero Bay, providing a retreat for contemplation or entertainment amidst the azure horizon. On the third-level lanai balcony, an outdoor theater awaits—a haven for cinematic indulgence under the starlit Florida sky, complemented by a sophisticated “sky bar” for evenings of leisure. Down below, the main level’s outdoor kitchen beckons culinary adventures, where the gentle sea breeze harmonizes with the sizzle of gourmet delights—a quintessential fusion of luxury and coastal living.
Interior and Lighting Concepts by Leili Fatemi
Internationally acclaimed interior designer Leili Fatemi of Leili Design Studio brings her creative prowess to every corner of this masterpiece. “We aimed to harmonize sophistication with comfort, creating spaces that resonate with elegance and functionality,” Fatemi explains. Her meticulous attention to detail transforms each room into a haven of refined aesthetics, where bespoke lighting installations by Lynne Stambouly of Illuminated Design illuminate the home’s unique architectural features and enhance its visual allure.
Enhancing Waterfront Amenities and Client Satisfaction
Recent strides include the completion of a dock tailored to accommodate a 52-foot lift capable of supporting 27,000 pounds, ensuring seamless access for our client’s 39-foot offshore fishing boat. “This addition not only enhances the waterfront experience but also underscores Alair Bonita Springs’ dedication to surpassing client expectations,” Barry VanWye, owner and partner, remarks with pride. “Our team is committed to transforming dreams into reality with unwavering dedication and craftsmanship.”
